Dues Increase

Greetings,

Effective January 1, 2021 the minimum dues increase of $0.70. The increase is 1.900% of the Council’s current minimum dues $49.20 *1.9%=$.95. As you may be aware, the increase in dues is automatic under the International Union constitution and it does not require a vote of the membership to implement the dues increase.

Please be advised the monthly minimum dues of AFSCME Ohio Council 8, effective January 1, 2021 will be $50.15 per member, per month.

Full Time Members 100% $50.15 $32.35 $14.15 $ 3.65

Part Time 75% $37.60 $24.25 $10.60 $2.75

Part Time 50% $25.10 $16.20 $ 7.05 $1.85

100% Employees who are normally scheduled for 21 or more hours per week.

75% Part time employees who are normally scheduled for greater than 12 hours but less than 21 hours per week.

50% Part time employees who are normally scheduled for 12 or fewer hours per week.

The local union’s share of dues depends on the amount of their union dues. To calculate the amount of the local union dues, please use the following formula:
