A clearer view of changes

Greetings!

No benefits will be affected.

If there are any holidays during the week, you will only work your regular hours (7) for Paras over the 4 days. Sick time, personal leave time will be according to the number of hours (time) you work per day 8.75 if you choose the extended option or 7 if you choose to only work 7.

For classifications whose hours may be different than those of the Paraprofessional, the same methods would apply.

The waiver is only saying if you choose the extended day, you will not be paid overtime for time beyond 8 hours because your day was extended so that you could continue to work 35 hours per week or however many hours that pertain to you.

There is NO loss of any benefits we presently have.

In Solidarity,
